Hirofumi Araki

Hirofumi Araki (born June 14, 1983, in Tamba, Hyogo Prefecture), is a Japanese actor, singer, and talent affiliated with Watanabe Entertainment. He rose to fame as a member of the D-BOYS acting troupe and later became the leader of the music unit D☆DATE. His career began in 2004 after reaching the final selection in the first D-BOYS audition. He debuted on stage as Sadaharu Inui in the musical The Prince of Tennis and reprised the role in the 2005 live-action film adaptation. He also voiced Mitsuru Zaizen in the anime's OVA series. Araki gained further popularity as Rio in Juken Sentai Gekiranger (2007) and starred in multiple stage productions and films, including Last Game and Like a Summer Vacation. He joined D☆DATE in 2010 and launched his solo music career in 2015 with the EP Next Stage, which debuted at number 8 on the Oricon Weekly Chart. His second single "STELLAR" followed in 2016. In 2018, he appeared on NHK’s Kōhaku Uta Gassen as part of the Touken Ranbu cast.
