Formed in 2016 in Yuba City, California, Herencia de Patrones—comprising Jesús Diego "Jay Dee," Raúl Valencia, Omar Ruiz, and Uziel Pantoja—quickly emerged as pioneers of the trap corridos movement. Their 2018 debut EP Clicka Fija and live album En Vivo Desde Wounded garnered attention, leading to a signing with Rancho Humilde. In 2019, they released their breakthrough studio album Pa Las Vibras, which topped the Billboard Regional Mexican Albums chart for four weeks and reached number 11 on the Top Latin Albums chart, earning a Platinum (Latin) certification from the RIAA. The group continued their momentum with the 2020 EPs Sorry for the Wait and Para Los Que Conocen el Rollo, both charting on Billboard. In 2021, they collaborated with Ovi, Natanael Cano, and Junior H on the Platinum-certified single "Los 4 Ases" and released the album HP Everything. Their 2022 EP Sorry for the Wait 2 and the 2023 Gold-certified collaboration "Feria en el Sobre" with Gera MX and Peso Pluma further solidified their influence. In 2024, they released Pa Las Vibras 2, an eight-track album that continues to showcase their signature blend of regional Mexican music with contemporary urban influences.
