Her Words Kill formed in 2002 in Hertfordshire, England, as a three-member post-hardcore band whose early shows exhibited intense UK hardcore influences. The original lineup included Luke Pickett (clean vocals) and his brother Josh Pickett (drums), alongside Lee Beaumont, who provided the screamed vocals. Their debut EP I Will Not Die Her Hero appeared in 2003, delivering tracks like “Art Is Red,” “Join the Fight,” and “Holland.” They followed that with their full-length Load My Revolver, Baby in 2005, which included songs like “Sir This Is A Cutthroat Fashion,” “Love On The Catwalk,” “Nobody Here Is Leaving Priscilla Brook Alive,” “Girls, Guns & Dynamite,” and “Watch Out Vegas; I’m a Show Stopper.” Their mix of aggressive and melodic singing, emotional lyrical content, and dynamic instrumentation earned them a modest yet lasting presence in underground UK hardcore/post-hardcore circuits. After 2005 the group’s activity dwindled and they ceased regular activity in 2007.
