An American band straddling the border between post-punk-inspired rock and lo-fi alternative, Guided By Voices have demonstrated rare longevity since their 1987 debut Devil Between My Toes. Five albums later, the Ohio band formed by Robert Pollard became fashionable with the classic Bee Thousand (1994), followed by a contract with Matador. By now, Guided By Voices had become a benchmark of indie rock, sending regular updates to an audience of insiders. After Mag Earwhig! in 1997 and a spell with TVT Records, GBV went their separate ways in 2004. This jewel of American rock returned six years later with a tour and a new album, Let's Go Eat The Factory. Stricken by overproductivity, "GBV" recorded three albums in a row in 2012-2013, followed by Motivational Jumpsuit and Cool Planet in 2014.
