Grupo Limite is a Mexican Norteño band formed in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It was led by Alicia Villareal until she left to pursue her solo career. They broke through with Por Puro Amor in 1995, a million-selling debut powered by songs such as âTe Aprovechas,â âVete,â âQuiero,â and âYo Sin Tu Amorâ. They followed this with Partiéndome el Alma in 1996 and Sentimientos in 1997, which added signature tracks including âHasta Mañanaâ and âSentimientos.â Their late-1990s and early-2000s run continued with releases such as De Corazón al Corazón and Por Encima de Todo, which won the Latin Grammy for Best Grupero Album in 2001. Grupo Limite then released Soy Asà in 2002 with "Ay! Papacito". The group inspired a wave of Tejano and Norteño acts that emulated their sound and style.
