Gregor Salto

Born Gregor van Offeren in Haarlem, the Netherlands, DJ and producer Gregor Salto learned to play the piano at an early age, but soon turned his attention to house music. He wrote his first song at the age of 14 before perfecting his style in his teens, creating energetic atmospheres with jungle, Latin and tribal touches. He initially performed under the pseudonym Scuba and as part of the duos Luna Mora and Danny & Graxx with Danny van den Berg. In 2001, Gregor Salto took the plunge and launched his own label, G-Rex Music. In 2005, he wrote the track "Can't Stop Playing" with Dr. Kucho! which became a hit in the Netherlands and Belgium. A steady stream of singles followed, including 2009's "Lambada 3000" with world music group Kaoma and 2014's "Samba do Mundo" with Saxsymbol and Todoro, both of which reached the top 20 in the Dutch charts. His debut album, Ultimate Miami 2, was released in 2014. Gregor Salto also creates remixes for Rihanna ("Diamonds"), Pitbull ("Echa Pa'lla", nominated for a Grammy Award), and Major Lazer ("Powerful" ), as well as Mariah Carey ("You're Mine", which really gave him his international fame), while regularly working with collaborators such as Chappell and Chuckie. In 2011, he released the first volume of his Tropical Tips series, which would include five further chapters until 2016. A prolific DJ and remixer, Gregor Salto continues in a Latin or tribal vein depending on the tracks and guests, with titles such as "Magalenha" (2017), "Time" (2019), "Alga" (2021), "Vamos Bien" or "Mi Casa" (2022).
