Greet Death is an American shoegaze / slowcore and alternative rock band formed in 2011 in Flint, Michigan. The band consists of Logan Gaval (vocals, guitar), Harper Boyhtari (guitar, vocals), Jimmy Versluis (drums, since 2017) and Jackie Kalmink (bass, since 2021). They made a name for themselves with their debut EP In Heaven//Your Lull in 2016, followed in 2017 by their debut album Dixieland, released on Flesh and Bone Records, which attracted attention thanks to its blend of shoegaze, slowcore, emo and post-rock. In 2019, they signed with Deathwish Inc. the label co-founded by Jacob Bannon (Converge) and released their second album New Hell, acclaimed for its dense production, saturated guitars and slow, introspective compositions. In 2022, Greet Death released the EP New Low, marked by a more minimal direction, with dream pop elements and discreet synthesizers. The band, renowned for its sonic contrasts between melancholic heaviness and ethereal passages, returned in 2025 with a third album entitled Die in Love.
