Gothic Voices

Gothic Voices is a British vocal ensemble that formed in 1980. The group was founded by the scholar Christopher Page and specializes in the performance of music from the 11th to the 15th century. They achieved professional recognition for musicological research into medieval performance practice and are famous for the recording A Feather on the Breath of God (1982). This album became one of the best-selling recordings of pre-classical music and was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry in 2020. The ensemble's discography includes the studio recordings The Mirror of Narcissus (1987), A Song for Francesca (1991), and The Splendour of Florence (2023). The group has received three Gramophone Awards for its contributions to early music.
