Hailing from California, the Girls duo established a solid reputation on the indie circuit with their debut singles "Hellhole Ratrace" and "Lust for Life". In autumn 2009, their first collection of songs, simply entitled Album, went viral, with critics quick to praise their saturated, retro rock.
