Japanese pop musical trio Girl Next Door, was formed in March 2008 and debuted officially in September of that year under Avex Trax. The group consisted of vocalist Chisa Maekawa, guitarist Yuji Inoue, and Daisuke Suzuki on keyboards. Girl Next Door debuted with their first single "Gūzen no Kakuritsu" in May 2008, which garnered significant online views. Within three months, they released three more singles and an album debuting on December 24, 2008. Their fifth single "Infinity", released June 19, 2009, became their first Number 1 hit on the Oricon weekly single charts. The trio's sixth release was a triple A-side single "Be Your Wings/Friendship/Wait for You" in August 2009. In November of that year, they released their seventh single Orion. Girl Next Door's second album Next Future, released January 20, 2010, reached Number 1 on the Oricon weekly album charts. The group embarked on their first tour and participated in the a-nation music festival. Their subsequent singles included "Freedom" (2010), "Ready to be a lady" (2010), and "運命のしずく〜Destiny's star〜 / 星空計画" (2010). Girl Next Door disbanded in September, 2013.
