Marcel Stephan, born in Querfurt in 1990, and Nico Wendel, born in Sangerhausen in 1984, together form the German DJ duo Gestört aber GeiL. They got to know each other at the Sangerhausen club My Ccools World, where they both worked as DJs. In October 2010, they founded Gestört aber GeiL together, which produces a mix of deep house and tech. The DJ duo's musical breakthrough came with their performance at the Sputnik Springbreak music festival in 2012. In spring 2015, Gestört aber GeiL released their first single "Unter meiner Haut", a cover version of the song by singer Elif. With this track, they made it to number 6 in the German charts. The song was a collaboration with Wincent Weiss and Koby Funk. The following single "Ich & Du" also reached the charts in Germany and was created in collaboration with singer Sebastian Hämer. Their debut album Gestört aber GeiL was released in 2016 and conquered the charts in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In Germany, the album reached number 2 and in the other two countries it reached the top 20. Gestört aber GeiL's second album #ZWEI was released a year later and reached number 4 in the German charts, it includes the song "Be My Now", sung by LEA, which became the theme song of Der Bachelor 2018. The single "Another Day In Paradise" was released in 2020 and the track "Hypa Hypa" in 2021. In 2022, Gestört aber GeiL released the album III, which reached number 22 in the German charts. Almost three years later, another studio album follows with IIII. The album reaches number 27 in Germany.
