The Gear Daddies, an American rock band from Austin, Minnesota, consisted of Randy Broughten on electric and steel guitar, Nick Ciola on bass, Billy Dankert on drums and vocals, and Martin Zellar on guitar, harmonica, and vocals. The group began performing together in 1984 and released their first single "She's Happy b/w 2-18" in 1987. Their debut album Let's Go Scare Al was released in 1988, followed by Billy's Live Bait in 1990 and Can't Have Nothin' Nice in 1992. Notable songs include "Time Heals" written by Dankert and the hidden track "Zamboni," which became one of their best-known songs after being featured in various media, including the movie D2: The Mighty Ducks. In 1991, Zellar and Broughten performed "Stupid Boy" on Late Night with David Letterman.
