Born in Athens, Georgia, on October 9, 1998, Gavin Adcock is an American singer and songwriter known for his music, a blend of country, southern rock and bluegrass influences, marked by raw, autobiographical lyrics. A former American soccer player at Georgia Southern University, he came to prominence in 2021 when a viral video showed him standing on a school bus drinking a beer while singing in front of a crowd, drawing attention to his music. He began releasing his own songs on digital platforms, most notably "Ain't No Cure", which enjoyed strong online success, before signing with Warner Music Nashville and Red Light Management. In 2023, "A Cigarette " triggers enthusiasm with 150 million listens. It went gold and platinum, before the release of the album Actin' Up Again(2024), ranked #82 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #19 on the country charts. Adopting an authentic, rebellious aesthetic, often linked to redneck culture and the party spirit of college campuses, Gavin Adcock quickly built a loyal fan base on social networks and on tour. He scored further hits with "Run Your Mouth", followed by "Need To", which reached No. 44 on the country charts. The track is one of many singles released prior to the Own Worst Enemy album (2025).
