Zach Bryan

Zach Bryan launched his career as an American country singer while serving in the US Navy, finding time between assignments to fine-tune his mix of Red Dirt twang and folk melody. Born in Oologah, Oklahoma, on born April 2, 1996, he followed in his father's footsteps by enlisting in the Armed Forces in 2013. A budding guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, he worked on music in his spare time and began uploading his original material to the internet in 2017. His debut album — DeAnn, named in honor of his mother, who passed away in 2016 — was released independently in August 2019 and became a crossover success, charting at Number 6 on the Americana/Folk Albums chart and Number 31 on Billboard's rock chart. One month after DeAnn's release, Zach Bryan returned with a new single, "Heading South," accompanied by a homemade music video that he shot on his cell phone in his US Navy barracks. The video went viral and the song became a commercial success, peaking at Number 27 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs — one of the few country-influenced songs to crack the Top 40 in that format — and earning a gold certification in America. "Heading South" appeared on Bryan's second self-released album, Elisabeth, in 2020, and its success earned him a record contract with Warner. Now a major-label artist, Zach Bryan earned another crossover hit with 2022's "From Austin," which reached Number 9 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Number 28 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs, and released his major-label debut American Heartbreak in May 2022. Preceded by six singles, including the Grammy-nominated Top 10 hit "Something in the Orange," the album topped the US folk, country, and rock charts, and was one of the most-streamed country albums of the year. American Heartbreak went platinum in America and was quickly followed by an EP, Summertime Blues, which featured the gold-certified single "Oklahoma Smokeshow." After releasing the concert album All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster (Live from Red Rocks) in late 2022, Bryan topped the Billboard 200 for the first time with his self-titled album Zach Bryan, which also featured his Number 1 duet with Kacey Musgraves, "I Remember Everything."
