Free The Spirit

Free the Spirit is a project led by British studio musicians. Focusing on panpipes covers of popular themes, it made its name in 1995 with the album Pan from Paradise and its version of the Christmas carol "Mary's Boy Child". Backed by the PolyGram TV label and TV advertising campaigns, the project enjoyed commercial success with the following albums Pan from Paradise, Vol. 2 (1995), Spirit of the Aztec (1996), Pan from Christmas (1996), Pan Pipe Moods in Paradise (1997) and Pan Pipe Love Moods (1997). Since the 2010s, Free the Spirit has been winning new fans on digital platforms with its covers of pop hits from the 1980s-1990s, notably with the Panpipe Moods album series: Panpipe Moods: Amoure, Panpipe Moods: Paradise, Panpipe Moods: Conquest and Panpipe Moods: Union, released in 2011.
