for_the_poet

For The Poet (시인을 위하여) is a South Korean indie band formed by 신승헌 (guitar), 신경우 (vocals, guitar), and 이범희 (drums), debuting on August 25, 2021. The group traces its roots back to high school, where the members first played together, but life’s detours led them down separate paths in their early twenties. While 신승헌 and 이범희 pursued music studies, 신경우 initially chose a different direction, eventually returning to music after military service with a renewed passion. Reuniting with his old bandmates, 신경우 invited 신승헌 and 이범희 to form For The Poet, blending their shared history and musical chemistry. The band released their first single "노란꽃" in 2021, followed by "사랑인거지", "개화", and "Summer night" in 2022, gradually carving a name for themselves in the K-indie scene. In April 2025, they released their first full-length album for_the_poet, marking a significant milestone in their journey as heartfelt storytellers and musicians.
