F.L.Y. (Fast Life Yungstaz)

F.L.Y. (Fast Life Yungstaz) is an American hip-hop group from Stone Mountain, Georgia, composed of Myko McFly, Vee, and Mook. The trio emerged in 2009 and quickly made a name for themselves with their debut single "Swag Surfin'", released on March 24, 2009. This track became more than just a song; it evolved into a widely embraced dance movement, particularly within the black community, and is recognized as one of the most iconic group dances in 21st-century black culture. The dance symbolizes unity and collective experience, often serving as a ritualistic beginning at celebratory gatherings such as homecoming yard celebrations at HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), weddings, graduations, and parties. F.L.Y.'s debut album Jamboree was released on June 23, 2009. The group is known for their contribution to the 'futuristic swag' subgenre, which blends trap rap, snap music, and elements of rock. Their subsequent releases include the EP Out Yo League (April 8, 2014). A later project titled Family Matters (2019) was released under Easton, F.L.Y. rather than as a standalone group album. F.L.Y.'s music has been recognized for its melodious approach and exuberant spirit, leaving a significant mark in hip-hop's history.
