Five.Bolt.Main was a nu metal band from Louisville, Kentucky. Formed in 2004 by Chris Volz, Ivan Arnold, Ben Patrick, and others, the group was provisionally named Vent before changing to Five.Bolt.Main due to legal reasons. The band's debut album, Venting, was released through Rock Ridge Music in 2005. Following the album's release, several members left the band, including Jason Chandler, Ben Patrick, and Aaron Welenken, citing issues including alcohol and drug abuse by Chris Volz. Ivan Arnold also departed due to growing personal differences with Volz in 2006. The remaining members continued with live performances, releasing the compilation album Live (2006). The band officially disbanded in 2007. Post-breakup, various members started bands like Forever Oeuvre or rejoined other bands like Flaw.
