Fit for a King is a metalcore band from Tyler, Texas, formed in 2007. Their music blends heavy riffs, powerful breakdowns and melodic choruses, following in the tradition of Christian metalcore while tackling universal themes of suffering, faith, redemption and resilience. After an independent debut, they signed to Solid State Records and released several albums that marked their musical evolution, including Creation/Destruction (2013), Slave to Nothing (2014), Deathgrip (2016), Dark Skies (2018), The Path (2020) and The Hell We Create (2022). The band, which has undergone a few changes of musicians over the years, now consists of Ryan Kirby (vocals), Daniel Gailey and Bobby Lynge (guitars), Ryan "Tuck" O'Leary (bass, clean vocals) and Trey Celaya (drums). In 2025, the album Lonely God was recorded in this configuration.
