Faithless

Composed of Maxi Jazz, Jamie Catto (vocals), Sister Bliss and Rollo Armstrong on keyboards and programming, the electronic music group Faithless was formed in 1995 in London, and after a few weeks of activity released the single "Salva Mea (Save Me)". Although the three musicians had always been involved in music, and Sister Bliss was already well known as a DJ, Rollo Armstrong's involvement was decisive in Faithless' rise to fame. The brother of singer Dido, he has already won acclaim in the music world for his work with artists such as Simply Red, Pet Shop Boys and Björk. Between 1996 and 2020, Faithless released ten albums, but his most prolific period was up to 2004, when four of them were released. The first, Reverence (1996, ranked no. 26 in the UK), was a huge success, even achieving gold certification. This was followed by Sunday 8PM in 1998 (No. 10), Outrospective without Jamie Catto in 2001 (No. 4) and the No. 1 No Roots in 2004. Rated No. 30, To All New Arrivals was released in 2006, while the band kept their fans waiting for four years before producing a new recording effort in 2010, The Dance, which was very well received (No. 2). A tour was then launched, but the band finally broke up in 2011. In 2015, however, an album of remixes of their greatest hits, featuring DJs such as Avicii, Tiësto, Rudimental and Armin Van Buuren, was released under the name Faithless 2.0 (no. 1), to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary. To everyone's surprise, Faithless went on to release a new album in 2020, their first proper album in ten years, entitled All Blessed (no. 6). However, it is the first not to feature the participation of Maxi Jazz. Maxi Fraser, whose real name was Maxwell Fraser, died on December 23, 2022 at the age of 65. In 2021, the trio produced the single "Everything Everything" and a remix of their biggest hit "God Is a DJ" by David Guetta. After the single "Find a Way" with Suli Breaks and Dido, followed by the tribute to the late singer "I'm Not Alone (Rest Well Maxwell)" in 2024, the band recorded the tracks "Peace and Noise" (again with Suli Breaks), "Dollars and Dimes" with Bebe Rexha and "Fugitive Edit", taken from the album Champion Sound, which also features contributions from LSK, Emmanuel Jal, Antony Szmierek, Nathan Ball and Amelia Fox.
