Eylem Kızıl, known mononymously as Eylem, was born on September 5, 1984, in London. She is a Cypriot singer who began her vocal training at VocalTech. In 2003, she reached the final eight of the Eurovision UK finals with "First Night" as part of the girl group Steamy Knights. Eylem signed with Dokuz Sekiz Müzik in 2006 and released her debut album Aman, which sold over 100,000 copies and earned her an MÜ-YAP award. The album featured hits like "Aman" and "Mız Mız". Her second album, Bir Sonraki (2008), included the popular track "Güle Güle". In 2010, she released the single "2010 İstanbul", available in six languages. Eylem's third studio album, Bugün Burda, was released in 2011.
