Zeynep Dizdar, born on July 14, 1976, is a Turkish singer-songwriter and composer who began her professional music career in 1997 with the album Yolun Açık Ola. The record featured the hit song "Vazgeç Gönül", which topped Turkish radio and music charts and earned critical acclaim. Another track, "Bir Hayvanın Günlüğünden", stood out as a rare Turkish pop song dedicated to animals. Her second album, İlle de Sen, arrived in 2005, produced by Ozan Çolakoğlu and released by Sarı Ev and Sony Music. It included the popular tracks "Yok Yok" and "Zehir Gibi", both written by Dizdar. In 2008, she returned with Sana Güvenmiyorum, which featured five self-penned songs, including the charting singles "Sana Güvenmiyorum" and "Boşver". Her 2010 release, Hayat Benim Elimde, marked her first time covering a classic—"Bir Çocuk Sevdim"by Sezen Aksu and Onno Tunç. She continued her discography with Viraj in 2011 and Gönül Oyunu in 2015, featuring another hit song "Son Bir Rica".
