Esaú Ortiz

Esaú Ortiz is a Monterrey-born Mexican singer and songwriter who began releasing independent singles in the early 2020s, blending streetwise corridos, rap phrasing, and pop melodies while writing for other regional acts and building an audience on social media. A first wave of tracks such as “Me Gustas de Más,” “Si Necesitas Tiempo,” and “Psychobelicon” introduced a diaristic, conversational style; by 2024–25 he had consolidated a steady run of releases that included “Tommy Vercetti,” “Scarlett’s,” “Beliwestcoast,” and “Discontrol,” alongside the EP Petacona. Momentum spiked in spring 2025 with “Triple Lavada,” a minimal, chant-led single that went viral across short-video platforms and climbed national streaming charts, followed quickly by official lyric and visualizer videos. The song’s success led to a high-profile remix featuring Luis R Conriquez, Óscar Maydon, Alemán, and Victor Mendivil, expanding its reach to corridos bélicos and hip-hop audiences and marking a key step in Esaú Ortiz’s partnership with Sony Music. Discontrol, his first full-length album, arrived in October 2025.
