Emel MüftüoÄlu, born on October 14, 1961, in Izmir, Turkey, is a Turkish singer. She began her musical career in 1985, collaborating with Erdal Ãelik on several albums and participating in the Turkish Eurovision Song Contest pre-selections from 1987 to 1989. MüftüoÄlu's first solo album, Karlar DüÅer, was released in 1990. Throughout her career, she has released numerous albums including Faka Bastın (1992), Emel'ce (1994), and Ruhun Duymaz (1995). Her notable collaborations include working with Sezen Aksu on the hit song "Hovarda" and other artists such as Harun Kolçak, Nazan Ãncel, Mustafa Sandal, Kenan DoÄulu, Serdar Ortaç, DoÄuÅ, Fettah Can, Sinan Akçıl, and Davut GüloÄlu. MüftüoÄlu's album Emel ile Yeniden (2016) features re-recorded versions of her most famous songs.
