Einherjer, a Norwegian folk metal band from Haugesund, Rogaland, was formed in 1993 by Frode Glesnes and Gerhard Storesund. The group initially featured Rune Bjelland on vocals and Jarle KvÃ¥le on bass. Their early releases included the demo âAurora Borealisâ (1993) and the EP âLeve VikingÃ¥ndenâ (1995). In 1996, Einherjer released their debut album âDragons of the North,â followed by âOdin Owns Ye Allâ in 1998. The band disbanded in 2004 but reunited in 2008 for live performances. After signing with Indie Recordings, Einherjer released several albums, including âNorrønâ (2011) and âNorrøne Sporâ (2018). The band's discography includes notable songs such as âFar Far Northâ (1996) and âBallad of the Swordsâ (2014), the latter featuring a music video directed by Costin Chioreanu. Einherjer continues to perform at various festivals, including Ragnarök Festival, Kaltenbach Open Air, Wacken Open Air, and Summer Breeze Open Air.
