Eason Chan

Eason Chan, born Chen Yick-shun on July 27, 1974, in Hong Kong, is a singer and actor. He attended schools in Hong Kong and England before studying architecture at Kingston University. In 1995, Chan returned to Hong Kong to participate in the New Talent Singing Awards Competition, winning first place and signing with Capital Artists. Chan's career began with successful albums including Always with Me (1997) and My Happy Era (1998). His Cantonese album U87 (2005) was a top-selling non-concert, non-collection category album in Hong Kong. Chan's success extended to the Mandopop scene with notable albums like Admit It (2007), for which he won the Golden Melody Award for Best Mandarin Album in 2009. He has won numerous awards including the "Ultimate Male Singer – Gold" award ten times and the "My Favorite Male Singer" award nine consecutive years at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation in Hong Kong. Chan has also been recognized internationally, ranking sixth in the Number 1 Forbes China Celebrity Top 100 List. His concert tours have spanned multiple regions including Europe, North America, and Australia. In 2025, he released the concert album Fear and Dreams.
