Drive Like Maria, a Dutch-Belgian rock band, formed in 2005. The group gained initial recognition by winning the Dutch version of the Global Battle of the Bands and finishing second in the international final at London. Following this breakthrough, Drive Like Maria signed with PIAS Records. Their debut album, Elmwood, was released in 2009, featuring collaborations with Janis Ian on "Sure Enough" and "Die a Little More". The lead single from the album, "I'm On a Train", reached fifth place on the "Kink 40" chart. Drive Like Maria supported major acts such as ZZ Top and AC/DC in 2009. Their second album, Drive Like Maria, was released in 2012 and received favorable reviews. The band continued to tour extensively across Europe and Asia.
