Sakin Bozkurt was born in Germany on November 12, 1967. He is a German DJ and producer who is one of the best-known representatives of trance and dream dance from the late 1990s. From the early 1990s, Sakin Bozkurt worked as a club DJ. In 1998, he founded the DJ Sakin & Friends project, which attracted international attention. With this formation, he shaped the melodic trance sound and performed in European clubs and at dance events. Stylistically, DJ Sakin moves between atmospheric trance and commercial dance-pop. His most important releases include the single "Protect Your Mind (For the Love of a Princess)" (1998), which reached number 4 in Germany and also achieved high chart positions in Austria and Switzerland. The album Walk on Fire (1999) followed in 1999. The single "Nomansland" (1999) is also successful, reaching the Top 20 in Germany. Further singles are released in the early 2000s, but fall short of the great successes.
