Diego Carrasco Fernández, born in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, in 1954, is a guitarist and composer known for his contributions to flamenco music. Born into prominent flamenco families, including Tío Borrico and Terremoto de Jerez, Carrasco began his career under the name "Tate de Jerez," accompanying notable artists such as Ana la Piriñaca and Alejandro Vega. His first recording was on Paco Cortés' Homenaje a Blas Infante, produced by Fernando Miranda. This introduction led to collaborations with various artists including Miguel Ríos, Manolo Sanlúcar, Camarón de la Isla, and Enrique Morente. Carrasco's solo career began with Cantes y sueños (1984) and Toma que toma (1987). He continued releasing albums such as A tiempo (1991), Voz de referencia (1993), Inquilino del mundo (2000), and Mi ADN flamenco (2004). In 2017, he celebrated his 50 years in the industry with the album No m'arrecojo, featuring collaborations with artists like Miguel Poveda.
