Die Rockys was a German cover band formed in 1996, based in Dresden, that performed throughout central Germany. The group gained traction by covering Pop and Rock songs from the 1970s and 1980s, often translating English lyrics into German. Notable covers included "Spielfilmstern" (Moviestar) and "Zieh ins Gefecht" (Fight for Your Right to Party). Die Rockys released several albums, including Du Sollst Dich Schäm' in 1998 and Zu Gast in Studio 4 in 2000. They were known for regular performances at events like the Elbhangfest and Dresdner Stadtfest. The band announced their disbandment in 2020, with their final concert taking place on May 1, 2022, at the Biergarten an der Dresdner Saloppe.
