Yoo Dae-joon, better known as Defconn, was born on 6 January 1977 in Jeonju, South Korea. After building a reputation on the underground scene in 1998, he released his first EP, Straight from tha Streetz, in September 2001. His debut album, Lesson 4 The People, was released in May 2003, adding other notable works to his discography, such as Diary of Uncle Corn (2004), City Life (2006), and Macho Museum (2010). In 2004, he received the Best Hip Hop Album award at the Korean Music Awards. Defconn also ventured into television, co-hosting popular shows like Weekly Idol (2011-2018) and Idol Room (2018-2020). Defconn is known for his collaborations, including the hip-hop duo Hyungdon and Daejun with Jeong Hyeong-don. Defconn's versatility extends to his roles as a composer and actor, contributing to his multifaceted career in the entertainment industry. In 2025, he appeared on the collaborative single "Good Day 2025 (Telepathy + By the Moonlight Window)" with G-DRAGON and others.
