Danny Fernandes

Danny Fernandes is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer born Daniel Bosco Fernandes on September 16, 1985, in Toronto. The younger brother of artist Shawn Desman, Fernandes gained early recognition by winning two consecutive Rising Star awards at the CNE dance contest. He signed with CP Records and released his debut studio album, Intro, in October 2008. The album featured the successful single “Fantasy”, which reached number 25 on the Canadian Hot 100. In 2009, Fernandes won the Best Canadian Pop Video of the Year award for “Private Dancer”. He followed his debut with the 2010 album AutomaticLUV, featuring the single “Hit Me Up”, which reached number 22. In 2013, he released the album Breathe Again, including the track “Come Back Down”. Fernandes achieved further success with the 2016 collaborative single “Dear Life”, which was certified gold in Canada. His later releases include the 2018 single “Missing” and the 2021 collaboration “You and I”.
