Danny Fernandes

Daniel Fernandes, born Daniel Bosco Fernandes on September 16, 1985, in Toronto, Ontario, is a Canadian singer and songwriter known for his work in Contemporary R&B, urban pop and hip-hop. At 16, he won two consecutive Rising Star awards at the annual CNE dance contest and became the youngest member of the Toronto Raptors' Dance Pak. Fernandes signed with CP Records and released his debut album Intro on October 14, 2008, which included the singles "Curious" featuring Juelz Santana, "Private Dancer" featuring Belly, "Never Again", and "Fantasy". The latter peaked at Number 25 on the Canadian Hot 100. His second album, AutomaticLUV, was released on November 2, 2010, with notable singles including "Automatic" featuring Belly and "Hit Me Up" featuring Josh Ramsay from Marianas Trench. Fernandes won the Best Canadian Pop Video of the Year at the 2009 MuchMusic Video Awards for "Private Dancer". He followed up with the album Breathe Again (2013), featuring the hit singles "Fly Again (Broken Wings)", and "Come Back Down." Danny Fernandes remained active in the following years, earning a gold record for "Dear Life" with Tom-E featuring iSH (2016) and scoring a new hit with "Missing" (2018), followed by other singles in the 2020s, including "You and I" with Black Creek Reign (2021).
