D-A-D

D-A-D is a Danish rock band from Copenhagen founded in 1982. In the early days, they played under the name Disneyland After Dark. The band consists of the brothers Jesper Binzer (born September 4, 1965 in Copenhagen, lead vocals and guitar) and Jacob Binzer (born October 28, 1966 in Frederiksberg, lead guitar), Stig Pedersen (born May 18, 1965 in Amager, bass and vocals) and Laust Sonne (born December 11, 1974 in Frederiksberg, drums), who joined the band in 1999. D-A-D's musical genre is melodic heavy rock, hard rock and glam metal. Their international breakthrough came in 1989 with the album No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims, which was released on March 3, 1989. The single "Sleeping My Day Away" from this album reached number 63 in the Australian charts. The band's most successful albums include Everything Glows from 2000 and Dic.nii.lan.daft.erd.ark (2011). The single "I Want What She's Got" from the latter album reached number 36 in the Danish charts. Over the course of their career, D-A-D have achieved several number 1 successes in the Danish album charts. The single "Scare Yourself" also reached number 1 in Denmark in 2005. D-A-D's current album is called Speed of Darkness and climbs to number 3 in Denmark. It also achieved chart success in Germany (number 28) and Switzerland (number 45).
