Curtis Harding

Curtis Harding is an American singer, songwriter and musician born in Saginaw, Michigan, on June 11, 1979. He grew up mainly in Atlanta, Georgia. Born into a family where gospel music played an important role, he accompanied his singer mother on religious tours from an early age, forging his relationship with the stage and the voice. After a period marked by hip-hop, notably as a collaborator with the Dungeon Family collective and rapper CeeLo Green, he gradually turned to a solo career, developing a personal style that blends soul, gospel, R&B, psychedelic rock and contemporary influences. In 2014, he released his debut album Soul Power, which won him immediate recognition for its raw energy and blend of tradition and modernity. In 2017, his second album Face Your Fear, produced in part by Danger Mouse, broadened his notoriety and confirmed his status as a standout artist on the neo-soul scene. In 2021, he returned with If Words Were Flowers, featuring richer arrangements and assertive social themes. 2025 saw the release of Departures & Arrivals: Adventures of Captain Curt, his third album for independent label Anti-.
