Chris Lane

Christopher Eric Lane was born on November 9, 1984, in Kernersville, North Carolina. Chris and his twin brother Cory spend their teenage years playing sports, in particular baseball, where they excel. Annoyed by injuries, Chris Lane gave up sports in favor of the guitar. Rejected at auditions for the seventh season ofAmerican Idol in 2008, Chris Lane turned to country music and formed The Chris Lane Band, which released the album Let's Ride in 2012. Chris Lane returned solo in August 2016 with the Billboard Country and Billboard 200 album Girl Problems . A performance reissued by Laps Around the Sun in 2018, with the added bonus of hit singles "For Her" and "Take Back Home Girl". In 2019, Chris Lane scores another hit with the single " Big, Big Plans", which reaches No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on the country charts. Two more singles follow, " Fill Them Boots" in 2021 and " Find Another Bar" in 2023, before the release of her third album Shade Tree (2025), from which the track "If I Die Before You" is taken.
