William Michael Morgan

William Michael Morgan was born on 13 May 1993 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and began his career as a country singer and songwriter. He first attracted attention with the 2015 single "I Met a Girl", which reached Number two on the Country Airplay chart and Number eight on the Hot Country Songs chart in October 2016, a track co‑written with Sam Hunt. Morgan released his debut EP William Michael Morgan on 17 March 2016, followed by his debut studio album Vinyl on 30 September 2016 under Warner Bros. Nashville; the album’s second single, "Missing", was serviced to country radio on 7 November 2016. After touring in support of Vinyl, Morgan’s commercial momentum continued with the single "White Christmas" in December 2015, and he maintained a presence on the charts through 2018. In January 2019, he and Warner Bros. Nashville part ways, marking a significant shift in his career trajectory. Morgan’s work earned a Gold certification from the RIAA for his single sales, and his early releases remain influential within the neotraditional country scene.
