Also known as Christophe D'Abuc, Echofalls or Cage, British producer and DJ Chris Lake was born on August 8, 1982 in Norwich, England. He occupies a prominent place in the electronic music industry due to his striking contribution to the house scene since the early 2000s, skilfully fusing elements of progressive house, tech house and other electronic music subgenres to create a clean, recognizable sound. While Chris Lake hasn't released a large number of full-length albums(Crazy in 2009 and Cross the Line in 2010 with Marco Lys), he has produced numerous hit singles and remixes for renowned artists, such as "Changes" with Laura V (#10 on the Billboard Dance chart), "Carry Me Away" with Emma Hewitt (#1 on the dance charts), "Boneless" with Steve Aoki and Tujamo, and in 2020 "The Answer" with Armand van Helden. In 2023, he returned to the dance and electro charts with the release of "More Baby", featuring Aluna, which reached number 34 in the USA. In 2025, the Psycho EP preceded his second solo album, Chemistry, released on the Black Book label.
