Chefket

Şevket Dirican, known professionally as Chefket, was born on December 21, 1981, in Heidenheim an der Brenz, Germany, and is a singer and rapper. He moved to Berlin in 2004 to advance his musical career. Chefket released his album, Einseits Andererseits, in 2009 through the indie label Edit Entertainment. His breakthrough came with the release of his album Nachtmensch in 2015, which reached number 9 on the German album charts. Notable collaborations include working with Marteria and Samy Deluxe on the EP Identitäter. Chefket's international activities included serving as a language ambassador for the Goethe-Institut from 2014 to 2018. His later works include the EP Hinter Schwäbischen Gardinen (2022) and the UK-Garage EP Little Boy (2023), which featured his first English-language song.
