Chế Linh (born Lưu VÄn Liên on April 3, 1942) is a Vietnamese singer associated with nhạc và ng ("golden music age"). He rose to prominence in the 1960s and 1970s, gaining recognition after winning a prize at a Biên Hòa music contest. His recordings from this period include releases such as Chế Linh và tình bÆ¡ vÆ¡ (Chế Linh and Lonely Love) and Chế Linh 4: Xin yêu tôi bằng tình ngưá»i (Please Love Me with Human Love). He was awarded Best Male Vocalist by Kim Khánh in 1972. Following 1975, he settled abroad and later continued his career in Canada. His repertoire includes well-known songs such as "Hát cho ngưá»i tình phụ" "Sing for the Unfaithful Lover"), which remain popular among Vietnamese audiences in Vietnam and the diaspora.
