Chanpan is a New York-based trio formed by Grace Dumdaw and twin brothers Lance and Matthew Tran, who first came together by busking in Chinatown for fun. Blending their creative energies, they quickly gained attention for their bold sound and cultural impact. Vogue described them as a very cool New York band, while Numéro Tokyo dubbed them one of The Riot Grrrls of 2025, highlighting their role in shaping a new wave of feminist, genre-bending indie music. They also graced the cover of Local Wolves magazine’s Visionary issue, cementing their growing influence in the independent scene. Outside of music, each member brings a strong individual presence: Grace Dumdaw’s work in film and television, along with the Tran twins’ backgrounds in political and community activism, have been recognized by major outlets including The New Yorker, HBO, Billboard, and CNN. This multidisciplinary experience informs the band’s identity and message. In 2025, they released their single “endlessly”.
