Cezar & Paulinho

Sebastião Cezar Franco (born 18 January 1958 in Piracicaba, São Paulo) and Paulo Roberto Franco (born 16 May 1960 in Piracicaba) formed the sertanejo duo Cezar & Paulinho in 1974, drawing on a family legacy that included the duo Craveiro & Cravinho. Their first recording, the 1974 single "Venha Me Dar Suas Mãos", marked their entry into the national scene, followed by the 1978 album Belezas do Sertão. The breakthrough came with the 1981 release Noite Maravilhosa, which produced the hit "Noite Maravilhosa" and established the pair as a well‑known act. Subsequent albums-Coração Marcado (1982), Asa Delta (1985), Viajante Solitário (1987), O Meu Jeito de Amar (1990), and Companheiro É Companheiro (2007)-featured tracks such as "Viajante Solitário" and "Companheiro É Companheiro". In 2013 they released the double CD Discografia Ouro e Prata, a curated anthology of 24 classics. The duo celebrated 40 years of career with the 2019 album Cezar & Paulinho 40 Anos, which included collaborations with artists like Leonardo and Zé Neto & Cristiano. They remained active in the 2020s with ongoing live releases on streaming, including the 2024 collaboration album Coração Marcado (with Continental) and the 2025 live set Intenso (Ao Vivo em São Paulo).
