Cali y El Dandee, a Colombian musical duo composed of brothers Alejandro Rengifo (Cali) and Mauricio Rengifo (El Dandee), was formed in 2009 in Valle del Cauca, Cali. The duo gained initial recognition with their song "Volver" in Colombia. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Yo te esperaré" and "Gol", which became viral hits on YouTube Spain in 2011. These songs reached Number 1 on the Spanish chart 40 Principales and were certified gold in Colombia. In 2012, Cali y El Dandee released their debut album 3 A.M., which included collaborations with artists like David Bisbal for "No hay dos sin tres" and Luciano Pereyra. The duo also embarked on their first tour, spanning 15 concerts in Spain and a performance at the Festival Latinoamericano de Milán. In 2014, they released a deluxe version of 3 A.M. and collaborated with Juan Magán and Sebastián Yatra for "Por fin te encontré". In 2017, they released the single "Lumbra" featuring Shaggy and collaborated with Maite Perroni on "Loca". Their second album Colegio was released in 2020, featuring collaborations with Sebastián Yatra for "Locura", Danna Paola for "Nada", and Mau y Ricky for "Despiértate". In 2021, they continued their collaborative efforts with artists like Beret, Luis Fonsi, and Aitana. Their third full-length album Malibu was released in 2022 and was followed by Ángel in 2023, which featured Omar Montes on the track "Soltera".
