Breathe

Breathe was an English pop rock group formed in London in 1984. The band consisted of David Glasper, Marcus Lillington, Michael Delahunty, Ian Spice and Phill Harrison. They began their musical journey as a five-piece jazz-infused outfit called Catch 22, performing covers and original songs while attending Yateley School in north-east Hampshire. In 1984, after Phill Harrison left to join the Fire Brigade, the band rebranded as Breathe. The group signed with Siren Records, a subsidiary of Virgin Records, in 1985 following the release of their demo songs. Their first single "Don't Tell Me Lies" was released in January 1986 and reached number 77 on the UK Singles Chart. The band's breakthrough came with the release of 1987's "Hands to Heaven," which peaked at number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in August 1988. Their debut album All That Jazz was released in August 1988 and featured several hit singles, including "How Can I Fall?," which reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Breathe's second album Peace of Mind followed in 1990, two years before the group's disbandment in 1992.
