Battle Beast

Although they don't go in for symphonic metal, Finland's Battle Beast are fans of classic heavy metal. The band debuted in 2008 and in 2010 won the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle Contest at the famous German festival. Led by singer Nitte Valo, with a Beth Ditto physique and a Doro chest, Battle Beast released the album Steel in April 2011. Chosen by compatriots Nightwish to support the Imaginaerum tour in 2012, Battle Beast's debut album was released in France in February 2012. Battle Beast in 2013, Unholy Savior in 2015 and Bringer of Pain in 2017 place Battle Beast in the circle of good power metal specialists. Without their iconic singer Nitte Valo since 2012, replaced by Noora Louhimo, Finland's number one metal band signs No More Hollywood Endings with new guitarist/vocalist Joona Björkroth, brother of keyboardist Janne Björkroth. The same team returned after the Covid-19 pandemic with the album Circus of Doom (2022), followed by a tour whose home concert gave rise to the album Circus of Doom (Live in Helsinki 2023), released in 2025. The same year sees the release of the studio album Steelbound, whose singles "Last Goodbye", "Steelbound", "Here We Are" and "Angel of Midnight " are popular on listening platforms.
