Unleash the Archers

Unleash the Archers is a power metal band from Canada founded in 2007. Drummer Scott Buchanan and guitarist and singer Brayden Dyczkowski know each other from university. Brittney Hayes joins them as a powerful vocalist. Bassist Zahk Hedstrom and guitarist Mike Selman complete the initial line-up. After a self-titled demo in 2008, the band's debut album Behold the Devastation followed a year later. The band cites names such as Iron Maiden, Lost Horizon, Iced Earth and Judas Priest as musical influences. The second album Demons of the AstroWaste is released in 2011, which is followed by a number of line-up changes within the band. At the same time, the band signs a contract with Napalm Records. The band changes its style more towards heavy metal. This can be clearly heard on the album Time Stands Still (2015). After Apex (2017), Unleash the Archers made it into the Canadian charts for the first time in 2020 with the album Abyss at number 4. The album also entered the international charts, reaching number 21 in Germany. After that, things became a little quieter for the Canadian rockers. It was not until 2024 that they returned with Phantoma. The longplayer reached number 33 in Germany and number 62 in Switzerland.
