Basshunter

The Swedish singer, producer and DJ Basshunter was born on December 22, 1984 in Halmstad under the name Jonas Erik Altberg. He released his first two albums The Bassmachine (2004) and The Old Shit (2006) via his website. He became particularly well known in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands following the release of his Eurodance single"Boten Anna" in 2006. Basshunter's third album is entitled LOL <(^^,)> and is also released in 2006. It enters the Swedish charts (number 5) and also reaches number 12 in Austria. The DJ's breakthrough came in 2008 with the follow-up Now You're Gone - The Album. In the UK, the album reached the top of the charts and was certified platinum. However, the subsequent albums Bass Generation (2009) and Calling Time (2013) were unable to build on this success.
