Baek A-yeon is a South Korean pop singer of mainly romantic ballads. After being treated for cancer as a schoolgirl she was then a contestant on the TV show 'K-pop Star' in 2012, where she finished in third place. That year she released her debut EP 'I'm Baek', which included the single 'Sad Song'. Her next EP was 2013's 'Good Girl'. In 2015 she released her first self-composed song, the single 'Shouldn't Have', which was a hit. Her follow-up single was 'So-So' in 2016. The EP 'Bittersweet' was released in 2017, with K-pop retro trio The Barbarettes featuring on the single 'Sweet Lies'. Baek's mini-album 'Dear Me' featuring single 'Sorry to Myself' came out in 2018. She has also sung on several TV show soundtracks.
