Anna Michaela Ebba Electra von Hausswolff, known as Anna von Hausswolff, was born on September 6, 1986, in Gothenburg, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. She is a singer, songwriter, musician, composer, and pipe organist. Von Hausswolff released her debut single "Track of Time" in February 2010, followed by her first album Singing from the Grave. Her breakthrough came with the release of Ceremony in July 2013, which received critical acclaim and marked her debut US show at Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn. Anna von Hausswolff's subsequent albums include The Miraculous (2015), Dead Magic (2018), and All Thoughts Fly (2020). Her music is characterized by its gothic style and heavy use of the pipe organ. In 2025, her sixth album Iconoclasts featured collaborations with Iggy Pop, Ethel Cain, Abul Mogard and her sister Maria von Hausswolff.
