Ángela Leiva

Ángela Leiva, born Ángela María Leiva on September 11, 1988, in Tandil, Buenos Aires, is a celebrated Argentine singer and actress, renowned for her powerful voice and contributions to tropical music. She began singing pop and ballads as a teenager before transitioning to tropical genres with her band Angie y Los Fieles. Her breakthrough came in 2008 when she won the “Pasión Canta” competition, leading to the release of her debut album Ángela (2009), which included hits like “Solo para ti” and “Amiga traidora.” Over the years, she solidified her place in the music industry with albums such as Desde el Alma (2011), Indestructible (2014), and Viva (2016), earning Gardel Award nominations. In 2019, she released La Reina, her first project as an independent producer, which won her the Gardel Award for Best Tropical Album in 2020. She collaborated with Los Ángeles Azules on “El Listón de tu Pelo” and released the hit “Si una vez.” Known for her dynamic performances, Ángela Leiva has graced prestigious stages like the Teatro Gran Rex and lent her voice to significant national events, including the Copa Diego Armando Maradona final. Her eighth album, 15 Años, arrived in 2024.
